Roads to Build

My new floors can wait, my  Grandson has roads to build!

And he's pretty focused on the job too. I love watching imagination at work.
Using dinosaur power just like our early ancestors did, lol.

That's Close !!

Many, many years ago.... I backed my car into a pole at the grocery store.
Put a V into the trunk so big, fixing it was not an option.

It wasn't just any car. It was a 1972 Ford Maverick, 2 door, blue?
My husband bought it for $600, and he was the 3rd original owner. All of the paperwork from the original purchase and every repair were in it.
The blue? was so dark and dingy I wasn't sure it was Blue.
We washed it, and again, and again. Then we took rubbing compound to it, again and again and finally waxed it.
A beautiful metallic Colbalt Blue..

The motor a straight 6. Hubby found a Ford Mustang with a 289 just rebuilt {the guys kid totaled the car} So we picked up the motor cheap. Hauled it home and converted the straight 6 into a V 8.... oh ya...

Swapped the tranny, switched the shifter to the floor.... traction bars,  and I had the sweetest little ride...

{My nickname back then was HOT ROD HANNA, My plates HR HANNA}

That car could fly!

So much for his cheap work car!
I really did appreciate all he did for me with the cars... I don't think he ever knew how much it meant to me.

In any case ~

after totaling my baby; I've had phobia's with backing up.

NOW

As soon as I got my new truck that has 4 backup sensors on it, I managed to back it into a fence post right between the sensors and they never went off.!  Really nice dent and FIRST EVER IN THE TRUCK.
Leave it to me.

Now one sensor is bent slightly ~ so they go off when I need them too!

With many years and much practice....

I HAVE MASTERED BACKING UP!!!

you can't even get a pinky finger in there and no I did not ever hit the door!!!!!!
