Trauma

Sophia was with me in the accident, and so was God's band of angels.

Blessed.....

She was thrown to the passenger floor and came out of it with bruises and swelling, nothing broken. ALIVE. A min pin survived this!!

After this experience, I am afraid of having her loose in a vehicle, on my lap or .....

Imagine if the steering wheel air bag would have exploded with her on my lap?

We're both still a bit traumatized. She cried all the way home from the hospital and has not been interested in 'going bye bye'... I had to spoon feed her water the first couple of days. I admit I was worried.

God has not been short on blessings for me through this..I'm alive and not as hurt as I could be.. A broken sternum (my doctor is concerned, my bones are thin and this was the thickest and hardest bone to break) Broken Ribs in the back and front as well as toes... Rotor cuff damage and shoulder separation....a bit broken up and bruised, but it could have been sooooooooooo much worse.

Prior to this..... at age 55 I could say, I had never been in a major accident nor had I ever broke a bone in my life! My driving record was near perfect.

The blessings have continued, with so many folks praying and passing good thoughts. The kids and grandkids helping out so much, with everything including feeding the horse and goats. My landlord and his wife are amazing. The first to the scene and took care of the truck for me while I went off to the hospital..... cleaning my barn, buying me groceries and doing my laundry.....

Thank you just doesn't seem like enough.

I was faced with being car less for who knows how long. When I was blessed with another miracle...

It won't pull the horse trailer, but it will pick up a bale of hay..... needs a little TLC,

but it's easy for me to get up into and down out of and with my DDD and other back issues, that's important.

Plus, it's cute and I like the color...
Drove away with 0 down, which was a big help right now.

Sophia was nervous and whinny at first, so I went to Walmart, picked up a little dog bed and new blanket for her.... and , well , see for yourself

She gets in her door and jumps up into her little bed and sleeps while I drive around....

Getting Back to normal, one day at a time.....

My shoulder and chest hurt..... like I've never felt pain before. I have 2 pain pills and another anti inflammatory and an anti spasm pill.... I hate taking pills...... the fact that I still feel the pain through it, crying seems like the only relief.. I don't know if it's still supposed to hurt this much or if I over did it and messed things up worse?

I'm hard to keep down, so my doctor put the foot in a boot.... and the family, knows I'm not good at laying around. I'm concerned. My chest ... I really have been trying not to hurt myself and nobody realizes that I am concerned. Which is good. If they know I'm worried, they will worry too.

Make sure the lights on your car/truck are fresh and bright! in this dark wet weather..... SAFETY!!!!! first.
