Meet John and Jane Doe

John and Jane were your average couple. John worked while Jane raised the children. When the youngest went off to college, Jane went to work part time. They paid their taxes, were buying their home and had never been in trouble with the law or government.

Then one day, Jane went to the doctor and found out she had {an illness} The medical insurance only paid for so much and of certain things. Much of Jane's treatment, came from {out of pocket}.

The first thing to go, was Jane's job. Then they had to remortgage the house. They tried garage sales and other means to sell off unneeded items. They kept the old RV, nobody was really interested in buying it anyway.

It took a couple years, and John had a stroke, no wait, it was a heart attack.... Doctors were now trying to figure out how to help John after almost losing him on the table.

John's job was gone and so was all their medical insurance.

Jane stayed by his side as much as she could. By the time John came home from the hospital, the papers were in the mail. The house was being foreclosed on.

They took what little they had left and moved into the old RV at a nearby RV park. Problem was, a year later their RV was to old for the park and they had to move. So with no where to go, they camped in church parking lots.

One Sunday morning, John and Jane came out of church to find the RV being hooked up to a tow truck. The pastor was having it impounded. John and Jane didn't have the $350 to unhook the RV

and all was lost. 

With nothing more than the clothes on their backs, no where to go and no way to get their medicine.

John and Jane went to the river where all the others had gathered.

This is where they met Heroine.

There was no Presidential order to allow them to go to the doctor regardless of their medical insurance.

There was no mortgage moratorium to prevent them losing their house.

There was no unemployment, regardless of their reason for losing their job.

There was no extra $ 600 a week from unemployment.

There was no stimulus check for $1200 {mind you I haven't gotten one yet either. } There was no talk of another one coming.

So many have lost everything from getting sick, because of things like cancer, and many families have lost love ones from the flu.
Yet
Covid 19 made it different for everyone else.

Thoughts to Ponder

I was raised in the 70's and I remember well the 'Bible thumping' that went on in many different 'denominations'. .... The end is coming, get prepared.! Your going to hell!

Too many folks gave people the WRONG image of GOD and many, many have grown cold. For many, with good reasons from what was done to them, horrible things.... 'in the name of GOD'.

The Bible , mentioned these very things and how many would come claiming to be 'The way, The truth, and the light.' Only to be hypocrites getting rich in the name of GOD.

We live in a time when GOD and church {a misrepresented word as well} are nothing more than a social part of the week. We claim 'Christianity' on Sunday, and live like the devil the rest of the week.

Let me give you one simple thought to ponder...

If all the people that claim 'Christianity' were truly Christians..... 

Would there be anyone homeless, hungry or on the streets?

Would people be treating each other the way we do?

Here's another simple thought....

Considering what's happening around the world today. ..

Would you have ever believed me if I told you the world is going to shut down and your government is going to pay you to stay home?

And yet, Here we are .. ..

Keep in mind, the Bible also states that those without a righteous heart, will not be able to read and understand the Bible, nor will they see the signs of the times...

I think it's pretty intriguing.

It's also quite scary when you realize that the government is talking about releasing some of the worst of the worst in prison.... Mind you, if they are going to let them out, why not let everyone out?

Lock your doors and look out for your daughters, I couldn't believe what I heard on the news today.....

They are actually considering releasing THE GREEN RIVER KILLER.

Now I ask you, where is the Sheriff/Politician that got rich and famous off of that case.... The ass hole that kept him alive so we could have to feed him and keep him and now have him back out on our streets.....

Why am I not hearing the protest for the right reasons...?

Their rights???????????

No, they are criminals . Our rights as law abiding citizens should be

MORE IMPORTANT.

Hanging out

The little ducks are getting so big! and they love the new swimming pools. I've been getting woke up at 7 am to take them outside. Yes my babies sleep in the house in kennels.

Lil Red has to do his part to get in the picture too. He's also gotten quite big and beautiful don't you think? Annoying and loud too! I always thought roosters were supposed to crow in the morning and be done. This guy goes off at 2 am, 3 am, 4 in the afternoon... basically, whenever he feels like it.

The baby chickens are all getting their feathers and looking pretty, each one very different from the others with the exception of the 3 Dominiques. {the triplets}... They look identical. They were called an Easter egg assortment, when I ordered them. I'm supposed to be looking forward to blue, green, teal, pink, brown and other colors when they start laying eggs.

There's one hen that likes to hang out with the little chicks, I think she would be the one to nest if I would leave the eggs.

Spent today mowing the lawn for me, at least part of it. Joey would eat until he burst if you let him. It's hard to believe the twins will be 2 on August 4th! 

WANTED.....  BABY GOAT     Must be NUBIAN.

I'm looking for another newborn, or under a week old - FEMALE.

       I would love to find the same coloring as these two.

The dark side of the barn

Nobody can be that happy or positive!

Nobody!

And your right.

I lived with un-diagnosed depression most of my life.

I was raised, that depression is choice and it was up to me to

 'get over it'. 

So, without medication or help, I learned to cope.

I grew up thinking it was me and my fault that I felt the way I did. ...

Mind you being molested, raped and mentally abused most of the time, was to have played NO PART in it. Right?

I was 'advanced' .

What does that mean.

To smart for my own good.

Wise beyond my years. ...

I could go on.

But what it really means is an IQ of over 150 and being gifted in the learning department.

And whether I liked it or not, people noticed I was smart.

I even tried to hide it.

Reading before the age of 5 played a great part of my intelligence.

Why am I always telling you to read to your children??????

My doctor asked me if I wanted to be special or normal, I said please don't tell them,

and he never did tell my parents exactly what my scores were.

He merely told them "She's gifted". That was enough.

I tried to dumb down because I 'intimidated people'.

I was once even told I needed to dumb down my resume because in a job interview the owner told me that I could run his company better than he did and that intimidated him.

Ya, I didn't get the job because the owner was afraid I would do better than he did?

Do I try to be better than anyone,

HELL NO

Do I think I'm better than others

HELL NO

{My therapist will tell you I tear myself apart more than any other person}

I try to stay to myself and go through life unnoticed.

I like to be by myself,
because in truth there are very few people that I can relate to.

To understand what I mean .....

Imagine yourself 7 feet tall trying to fit in and go 'unnoticed.'

You didn't ask to be 7 feet.

Your not trying to reach 8 feet.

You often wish you were only 5 feet tall.

But in reality, there is nothing you can do about it except - accept it.

Because of my depression and struggle with suicide, I have worked hard to find the positive, even in the darkest hours.

I have found many happy moments, and the strength to be the only one there to stop me, when it could have been the end.

My life is full of unfortunate events.

And yet , I'm blessed with everything on the Bright side of the Barn.

Sometimes, it's been hard to find.

I was born butt first and my life has been ass backwards.

Things happen to me that no one would believe.

The book I've been requested to write is going to be titled

YOU WOULDN'T FUCKING BELIEVE ME IF I TOLD YOU  

but here it is. 

Some of my previous blog posts express the a taste of the many events in my life...

Want a fresh example...

The latest event is the government giving my stimulus check to someone else, direct deposit into their account..... not mine. 

So, if you ever think your life is F*** up, come on over let me tell you a story from mine... You'll leave feeling better like everyone else does.

Complaining, no, That is something I don't really do.
I vent, I cope, I deal with it, I've been known to 'put an end to it' but
I never get over it, and I always go forward.

The blessings of Family

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter ! Really, I'm not being sarcastic, this time. I've had to spend many holidays alone over the last few years, and it's do able. Traditions have changed over the years and too many people don't value them in the first place. So for many, this was no different other than staying home. For families I'm sure it was different. What you did and how you did it, will have determined if it was difficult or not. I'm getting feed back, my kids and grandkids all did okay on their own.

Celebrating the true meaning of Easter....
You don't have to go to church to find God. In fact 'church' is a misused word that should say 'temple'. Church is actually a body of people. So if you had your family and you were together in quarantine you were a church all your own. For those of us that are alone, Jesus is still making His rounds. What you do in the face of the Lord all the time, is so much more important than where you spend Easter Sunday.

Commercialism has destroyed so many sacred holidays. So personally I was glad in some ways that the traditional commercial activities were reduced.

 You have so much on your mind lately. How many days has this been going on and how much longer......

It's scary to lose your job especially when everyone else is too. So where do you look for work when your ordered to stay home?

Scary' er we have to rely on the Government to give us money to survive....

How are you going to pay the bills and when can you get back to work. Will you lose your house and end up homeless.?

Perhaps people would understand not all that are homeless are drug addicts..... IF more became homeless? How many have to become home less before our system changes and everyone can afford a home.

I'm hearing how so many are going nuts having to put up with their own children. Others embrace the opportunity to be with their children.

Seriously, are you okay sending your children back to old school buildings? Some already should be shut down. The one thing we haven't kept up on is new schools for our children... Don't let them go back to contaminated buildings.

Has anyone taken into consideration how many children are becoming orphaned during this pandemic? Losing many family members to the virus. Has anyone stepped up and created a plan and safety net for those children so we don't lose them in the cracks.

How many can now see the flaws in our systems. HOW big are the cracks in your neighborhood?  We need changes and now is the perfect time to start thinking forward and better....

Money really doesn't matter in this war. IT doesn't matter your social status, we are all able to be affected. I for one truly hope this event teaches us all something and somehow we can come out of this a better people. 

My dad always said hindsight's 20/20. 

Only time will tell. The new motto is 'We're all in this together', yet I wonder how many really are. We can get through this and we will survive. Christians around the world should be celebrating as the prophecy is being fulfilled. And the end time is coming.  I hope they pray for the rest of the people.  

My daughter in law asked me, You home schooled the kids, how and where do I begin?

My oldest daughter once gave me the greatest compliment a child could give their mom. 

She told her friends that she had a great mom, her mom taught her and her siblings to use their brains. 

Teach them how to learn and you've given them everything. 

It starts with learning to read and acquire reading comprehension skills. Now is a great time to give your children the greatest gift of all.

READ A BOOK..

Prepared for the unknown.

 Too many folks panicked and didn't know what or how to prepare.  Folks didn't know what we were preparing for.   Hence the over load of toilet paper sales and the shortage that followed.   What should you prepare, to be prepared..?  Perhaps one of the reasons California and Washington are doing so well is  ~ Because we've had Earthquakes.  Many folks here are always prepared to go 10 to 14 days without.  Without what?   Without!  Without communication, water, services, and everything else that collapses in an Earthquake. These folks have enough toilet paper to sustain their families for the 2 weeks, it might take to get rescued.  We also know what it's like to adapt to a new normal following the events.   We've been hit hard many times over the years. 

So, what do you do to be prepared. 

Keep a small supply of water on hand. A couple flats of bottles or gallon jugs. Many have a stock of camping food, or canned food. Snack bags and comfort items for the kids. Flashlights, battery operated radio. There's a few good example lists available. 

Basically it's a 'go bag'. A BAG THAT'S READY TO GO FOR ANYTHING . 

Now this current situation, is something, you can't exactly prepare for, because you don't know how it's going to turn out. Or what to expect. As this one, will have a very long lasting effect. 

We're heading into a new normal. 

Being quarantined and closed in for how long , we really don't know. And what will happen after......

It's spring time, I bought my seeds for the garden as usual. The only difference, is I spent close to 200.00 on seeds , for the garden for the next 2 years as well. 

Shopping may never be the same again. 

I love the ordering on line and curbside pick up, for the groceries. This could be a new normal I enjoy.  For one person I think the 200.00 in non perishables will due me for the duration.  A 100.00 in the freezer of meat and the only things we have to continually replace will be ~ toilet paper, water, coffee and creamer as well as the produce and dairy....

I've cut my shopping down to once a week.  One quick trip to my regular store. 

{I remember when my parents only went to town once a month for groceries, we lived so far out in the hicks. }

I love 'Stitch Fix' for my wardrobe, it's a fun way to shop and get new clothes. Meanwhile, I'm hoping Ross will find a way back into our lives. 

The local JoAnne Fabric is closing , so a 500.00 on line order to be delivered, should provide enough fabric, yarn, thread and accessories to keep me busy and put all of next Christmas's presents in the closet. 

300.00 at Lowes with curbside pick up and I'll be building chicken and duck houses, yards and a goat fence...

I really don't notice the fact that we're quarantined at home other than I'm not out scheduling and performing inspections. 

I'm seeing this as an opportunity to BE HOME and get so many things DONE!

I'm not trying to figure out what it's going to be like or how it's going to turn out. For all we know, those that are stock piling could end up passing away from the virus and the stock pile goes unneeded. 

REMEMBER, we were never given TOMORROW, for sure. Any one of us could have died or could die, of many different possibilities. The virus is only one of many.

DON'T LET FEAR DEFEAT YOU!!!!

As for the PREPARED. ... 

I think getting prepared for heaven is the only preparation I ever stress about. 

What's happening now, is not something that anyone can predict the outcome to. We just got to get up one day at a time, and try and prepare ourselves the best we can, to go a few days without going to town, so to speak. We just have to think positive, and prepare the best we can for what is happening as it's happening.

Listening to the true news, the science, the doctors at the head of the helm, will guide us in a direction that should over come this. 

Think about what PREPARED means to you and pack accordingly.

Childish behavior.

Meet my Governor

The President is currently asking business's to step up and build and make things we need. My governor wants to demand and force business in our state to make the things needed because he doesn't think the President is helping him enough.

Should the President enact such an order who ever is voted in as President would be in control of our country. The order doesn't end at the election. Our governor is trying to get the government to control the people.

Our state was unprepared because our governors priorities are not the greatest. 

 So many people that could be working because their work is truly needed are stuck at home. And idiot jobs that don't need done are kept open.

 Construction work is stopped in the private sector not government. Sorry gramma your gutter is going to hang there til fall. 

 City government lawn mowers are still working. Yet Grampa's grass is a foot tall. 

 Real estate photographers are working, my job is asking me to go back out and do on site inspections, because real estate sales are still active. 

 Doesn't a quarintine shelter in place order indicate to NOT MOVE.  Shouldn't all aspects of real estate be shut down.

 Personally I think the florists should be open right now. Those people that can't have their families can't even have flowers ???? 

You can't even ask the governor to reconsider anything. 

His attitude is I made up my mind and we're doing it my way.          The President won't give me what I want, so I'm going to say things about the President and put down the Federal Government..

Something is really wrong at the head of my state. I've never seen such childish behavior from someone who is supposed to be an adult.

I'm proud to say I didn't vote for him.

On the Bright side of life, 

The baby chicks love playing in their new yard, when it's not hailing snowballs on us. They still come in the house at night. It's too cold still. This has been one super cold spring.

 { I wonder if that's God's way of keeping this virus controllable for us}

We have Rapunzil, Sunshine, Dotti, Foxy lady, Mini Mynx, Precious, Bonnie Blue, Elsa, Anna and Lil Pepper.

The baby ducks love the water! Even in the rain.

Have to get their yards built soon!

Each couple will have their own private swimming pool . 

I'm told I spoil my pets.

Are we all in this together ?

Good morning to the world. 

Seems we're all on the same channel these days. How are you doing? There are many people like myself that doesn't mind being by myself. And then there are people that need people. I'm guessing those folks are going through this a little harder. Some folks are okay with staying home most of the time, this is already their normal. Others are on the go all the time, and they must be stir crazy by now. 

I was disappointed in my fellow Washintonians, for gathering in the woods and parks and causing the trails and state parks to be closed down. There were several of us, that alone or in couples or as families, enjoyed the time outside away from everything. 

Now we can't because of a few selfish people. 

I'm sure things like that are happening in your neighborhood too. 

My dad always said, it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch...... 

Don't be the bad apple. 

Frustration, fear, facts, Grrrr.....

 {and they wonder why the governments decided to keep the weed stores open} 

People are getting irritable and many are trying so hard not too.... 

yet it happens.

The two biggest things people struggle with are 

CHANGE 

and the

UNKNOWN

We got both. 

And we are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.

REactive behavior 

or 

PROactive behavior.

We have a choice. 

Look forward and shake off the past.

Stop reacting.

Stop trying to put this back into place.

Start being PROACTIVE 

and this does not mean buy as much TP as possible.

Start looking forward and ask yourself

What can you do to help?

Do you sew?

 Make face masks for all your local folks that are out there facing the public every day.

Do you build?

 Offer to make the sneeze guards for the cash registers. 

Do you have elders on your block?

 Check in on them and offer to go to the store for them. 

Are you good at fund raising?

 Find a local family that is struggling and make it your goal to help.

The more you focus on helping others the less you think about the past. 

The more you think about the future, the less fear and frustration you'll feel.

How can we stop this virus?

By doing it together.....

Do you own a motel/hotel?. 

Open up to the homeless, contact your local health dept and get those folks tested and in quarantine. The food bank and senior meals centers could deliver food. 

Until we get the homeless off the streets we will never be able to end the spread of this virus. We are just going to keep running in circles. 

I'm not blaming the homeless.

I'm simply pointing out that they don't have the ability to wash their hands multiple times a day. They don't have the ability to keep their belongings clean and virus free.

So how do we expect them to NOT GET THE VIRUS.??

Are we really all in this together? 

or are we excluding those already homeless.
