Shopping

It started with catalogs... and packages in the mail.

Now it's the internet and delivery trucks at the door.

Either way, I've always been a favored at home shopper.

Loved the AVON lady, GIRL SCOUTS and CAMPFIRE kids, FULLER BRUSH and all the rest.

Who wouldn't rather sit in the comfort of their own home and shop casually at your own leisure.

Customer service at it's best.

Now with the internet you can decide when you want to shop and you don't have to wait for daytime hours.

For me, this has always been a favorite. I had 4 kids.

Nobody wants to stand in lines with 4 little ones, especially if it's a long line, a hot day, you have a sick one, or heck - it's just one of those days.

So of course I shop for my tack on line as well.

Stateline Tack and Chicks Saddlery. My 2 favorite stores.

I've recently been diving into SAFEWAY's home delivery.. Grocery shopping when you can actually buy what's on the list!!

How do you like to shop ?

The Ever Changing Journey

Situations as they are. I'm back to work, much more than expected. Time is not my own as much anymore. My horses need a better situation regarding full care, rather than my inconsistent schedule of self care. And to be quite honest, I would rather my time at the barn being to enjoy my horses, not doing barn work and getting no time with my horses.

So, the quest begins. It would also be nice to have them closer to home. More access to trails would be a huge plus.!

God knows our needs.

Crazy Cat Lady ~ I think I am

Gizmo

My apologize, I'm not hanging off the cliff at this point in time, didn't mean to leave anyone else... hanging so to speak.

I've just been tired.

Shortly after my last post I returned to 'work' @ the local gas/groc store.

I merely went in for gas one day after getting my foot out of the 'boot'/cast; and was asked if I could work 1 night a week... be on call for a couple....

So the first night I returned, I found myself agreeing to 3 shifts on the schedule and a couple 'on call' nights... and by the next day.

I'm back!!

Just have to make sure I do stretches before I go.

So, between working at my barn on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - I will be returning to 'work' as well as working for myself as a Notary.

I managed to keep my Saturday nights and Sundays with Grand kids though. I'm not giving that up this time around.

Even though the house is full, there is an emptiness since Miss Sophia left us...

A few new members have arrived

Charlie the stray finally decided to move in.

Shortly after her arrival this little guy followed her to the window.
After much deliberation, he has been named
Felico in memory of our great FELIX, whom he looks just like.

Then there is Tux

who has taken the loss of Sophia the hardest, she was his 'mum' ..

  .

Miss Cleo has been hanging out with Lil MoJo, as Mo is expecting and I think Cleo is excited to be an Aunt.
 {These two are sisters from different litters}

   .

Yes, you counted right. There are 7. I think I'm reaching borderline

Crazy Cat Lady

Yet, no one that has entered my house can even tell there is one cat, much less 7. So no, don't think it 'stinks'. ..

People become surprised as cats start to appear in the room....

I often hear " OH, you have a cat, oh wow, there are two?"

I don't know how they know,
animals just know when they are welcome somewhere.

Walking on the Edge

Depression is no easy feat to live with. {trust me, I know}

Most folks don't even understand it.

Because depression is associated with sadness, many feel the 'cure' is simply to 'cheer up', 'get over it' or 'stop pitying yourself'.

Life can be going absolutely beautiful. You can have the most wonderful evening, go to bed with happy thoughts....

And wake up to 'ugh'.

Nothing has to 'happen' or 'go wrong'.

It doesn't have a 'switch' you can turn on or off.

Truthfully,

It's what others do in this moment that can make it worse or better.

Some have people in their lives that are always there to 'catch you' when you feel like your walking on the edge.

And then there are those that are ready to 'push you' over the edge; and unfortunately these are usually family.

The best thing you can do, is find a way to 'pull yourself' away from the edge. Because more often than not, when you turn around and look for help, there isn't going to be anyone there.

People don't fully understand depression.

 I believe God does.

Sometimes I think our mental illness is due to our disassociation and distance from God.

The Bible speaks of a 'sound mind' for those that are close to God.

Funny, 'professionals' think if you believe in something they can't see or feel, your deemed crazy.

Either way, remember this ~

People fail people.

God never fails us.

The closer you walk with God, the further you get from the cliffs.

Why blame God?

This is going to be short....

it's basically a question I've wondered for a long time...

Why do people blame God when bad things happen in their lives?

  • More often than not, they haven't exactly been living 'for God' their whole lives, yet they expect God to protect them - like He does those that do 'live a Godly life'.
  • Whether or not you live for God... no where in the Bible does it promise an 'easy' life.
  • Then there are those that 'don't believe in God' because something bad happened...
The devil is just as real as God.
People seem to exclude that from the equation.

I was told by a preacher once, if your life is going 'great' and nothing bad is happening, most likely the devil's not worried about getting your soul.... cause he's already got it.
If your life is being taunted and turmoil, most likely your striving to do right by God and the devil knows he doesn't have your soul, so he's doing all he can to win your over..

The story of JOB.... one of my favorites to understand how this works.
