I was curious...
According to Yahoo Finance, the number of American van lifers has increased by 63% over the last couple of years, going from 1.9 million in 2020, to 3.1 million in 2022.
.... So I'm not crazy.
How many full time RVers' ? Currently, there are about a million full-time RVers in the States.
... I'm really not crazy.
Demographics of Full-time RVers: 13 Facts You Should …
According to the census, 57% of respondents who liked RVing are over the age of 65 years old. Of this 57% of respondents, nearly half of them travel or live in their RV full-time. More specifically, 48% of the 65+ RVers live in their RV full-time. …
.... Seriously, this is something I've wanted/dreamed of doing since I was very very young.
Seriously, it's what I have always dreamed of as 'my dream home'. The adventures I took as a child with my Winnebago ~ the dream of pulling my horse trailer and traveling....
I got pregnant young, so I did the right thing and settled into being a mom. I was there for my kids growing up, I was there to help them when the grandkids were babies. I'm 60 now, it's my time right?
I'm disabled, on Social Security, so I have a little bit of a monthly income. I work with several independent sales companies, I mystery shop, and I am a bit of an Evangelist when it comes to my spirituality. {I would love to preach at Revivals!} All things I can do while driving down the road so to speak.
I just need to find a GOOD RV. Not too big, as I need to be able to park and get in and out of a variety of places.
I've done the travel trailers.. A 30', a 25', a 40' 5th wheel.
I've done class C - 22' that was very old. But I did love my Lucky leprechaun!
I have even lived in a Brand new mobile home. {Currently staying in one that has the exact same floor plan as mine !} God is great!!
I would love to find a 22 - 26' Class C
to call my final RETIREMENT HOME.
I'm not crazy.
Millions of people are living my dream. I pray one day soon, I will be too. When we sold the house it was supposed to land us in a truck and trailer. But ... there wasn't quite enough money for both.
Which is how I ended up living in the truck for 9 months. Then winter hit, Tim ended up in the hospital, and friends rescued me when temps got down to 27 degrees.
That's how I ended up in another BRAND NEW mobile home that is the exact same floor plan as the one I sold. Only this one is in a 55+ community and has a few upgrades from mine.. God is amazing!
I don't know what God has planned for me, I'm hoping to find answers before the end of May. I would love the miracle to be able to buy my RV... But that blessing is up to God. I guess we shall see..... He knows my heart, I'm sure He has a plan.
I just know, I'm not crazy!!
Blessed by God
