Power Outage

Mondays and no power.....

My day started with waking up in serious pain - from about 5 am to 930 am. Some would have thought it a heart attack, me knowing me - just heart burn. When I get it - I get it bad! Bloat up bigger than in the commercial and the pain on my heart and lungs, feels like dying would be better.

 Thankfully we still had power during my stress. I was able to heat up a towel, which helps usually {Not so much this time}. At one point I was almost ready to go to the hospital. Then, finally - things improved and relief was in sight. Thankfully just before the power outage.

It was about 1 pm when the truck hit the pole, and they had to shut down the electricity in the area. and it took all day, but they finally got the pole fixed and the power back on by 9:30 pm!
I think, the truck broke the pole, so the electricity had to be shut off while they replaced the pole and restrung the wires. The weather was horrible, rain, wind, hail.... I'm so grateful that they kept working through the weather. Shout out to PSE employees!

Definitely a Monday for many of us!

While sitting around without being able to do much, I found one of my old-time favorite series - North of 60 on YouTube. 6 seasons! I was able to occupy some of my time. Didn't get to go do the things that needed done and wasn't able to get online to do the things needing done there. So, now I feel like I'm a day behind and have to catch up 2 days in 1.

Of course - now today is the 1st and running around paying bills is on the schedule. Oh yes, and it's April 1st- April Fools - so the pranksters will be out in full glory. Be careful and don't trust your friends today lol.

For me it's payday - Praying the Lord can help me stretch a few dollars into a few more dollars so I can get done everything that needs done and hopefully have a few dollars to live on through the month. Due dates on pawn tickets, it's time to get stuff out and be done with that stress. We've lost so much already; it's down to the things I can't afford to lose.

Spent the weekend helping friends with some over whelming projects. A friends roommate moved out and completely trashed her downstairs. She rented a dumpster and together we filled it up! Still don't have it all done, but she is happy to see daylight at the end of the tunnel. It's deplorable how some people can live. It's one thing to be a hoarder, another thing to have a mess, but it's a completely different thing to have garbage piled up around you. {A welcome for rats and other rodents}

Not to mention it's shedding season and I have been needing to get to my horse almost daily to be brushing her out. She looks pretty shanty with bald looking patches and globs of fur hanging off where she's been rubbing it herself. We've left quite a few piles of hair in the field. Yes, I leave it in the field for the birds. It makes great nesting material and it's very soft and helps keep their little eggs and babies really warm.

Meanwhile I can only imagine what some folks think of my horse right now. Once this is done, she is a beautiful chestnut and has an amazing coat. We don't blanket as she is a HORSE and refuses to wear clothes. So, during the winter she becomes a very wooly mammoth. LOL

With everything that has happened and all that was going on the past few days, it left me feeling a bit of a spiritual power outage. I ended up smoking more than I wanted to over the weekend and haven't been as much engaged in my Bible study as I would like to be. A bit of a power shortage or drain - whichever best describes it. Now today I have a lot to do to rush around and catch up. Laundry being at the top of the list! And I have the first mystery shop to do today! So even still, I'm feeling my spiritual side lacking.

I have spent a few minutes - as I always like to start my day with a scripture and short prayer. But the deep study shall have to wait until this evening, once a list of To-do's has been accomplished. I would prefer to have some study time in the morning when it's quieter. The days always go better when they start with the Lord. With this weekend being the days before payday, it was a bit of a stressor, and of course, God provides! I was well paid over the weekend for my help on some things. Not money I expected at all. But a blessing none the less. Someday I will quit worrying and start believing - that He's here for me, and He's got my back!

The struggles are less when the faith, belief and confidence in the Lord are more.
