Dear Diary....

I recall the popularity back when I was young. Perhaps that's why so many of us older folks use the internet to 'blog' now.?
I think every girl I knew had one at one time or another. Some were more into it than others. There were A few who preferred to 'journal' their thoughts in a different format, rather than consider it a 'diary'.

Some of us had to have 2 diaries, because of 'the invasive mother's'. One would tell it how she needed to see it, another was the real thoughts to ponder. I recall the 5 year diary... You could use it as a 1 year and confuse the heck out of anyone that wanted to snoop! Brothers were famous for that one as well as mothers.

I had a cousin that recorded diaries from the age she could write up through adulthood, the last I knew of. You could ask her anything and she could look up the day and tell you about it. In a sense it was kind of cool. In another sense, that's a lot of books full of personal thoughts that you would have to have a secure place to keep. I think we all have those moments in life, we don't want to remember much less have someone else read about it!

However it would have made it much easier to 'write the book', to have the memories in order. . .

Whether it was writing in a diary, a journal or even to have a pen pal; It was a great way to learn to express your thoughts. Explaining your memories and events to yourself or someone else, in a descriptive way that you'll be able to remember the events that took place as if it were yesterday; Or to enable someone else to be able to picture the event as you've told it. Learning to express yourself in a commutative manner. Such a valuable asset to have in life.!

There is something to WRITING, even over TYPING. Yes, while typing to 'write' helps. Actually taking the pen to hand does wonders for the brain! There is something about the transmission from heart, to head, to hand, back to eyes.... that helps us hear what we are saying better and

that enables us to READ BACK and REWRITE - adjusting our thoughts and expressing them in a more productive manner. If you rewrite and rewrite a letter, you often calm down, become less mad, and are more able to express the point your trying to make without insult or injury.

THE TONGUE IS A TWO EDGED SWORD!

The Bible is pretty clear about it, and you can't deny it's TRUE!
Once you say something you can't take it back. Once you've hurt someone with words, it's there forever. They might forgive you and the relationship might continue, but it will never be the same as before the WORDS WERE SAID.

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK

It was something I grew up hearing and it's something more folks should practice.

Question of the day...
Where you do keep your thoughts?
How do you best express yourself?

Kittens ! Kittens ! Kittens !

They go in for their surgeries and in 2 weeks.

They go in for their next round of shots and surgeries in 2 weeks.

Then they are ready for adoption!!!

You can go to the RASKC website and get the adoption form, once they are ready, we will be able to do "meet and greets"!!

This little Black and White guy, we call Charlie. After Charlie Chaplin the comedian. He is quite a character and very curious.

This little gal is the only one with Blue Eyes, so we've kind of been calling her our Blue Eyed Princess. She's very soft spoken and dainty just like a princess.

The little gal in the back is Tiny or TT. She was the smallest when they arrived and has grown to pass her sisters on the scale! Very inquisitive she is an explorer.

Front and Center is her sister Boots. She is the one with the longest white socks and it looks like she's put her boots on. Very cuddly and loves to purr.

The 3rd orange kitten, another girl... The most white on her face, she reminds me of a little monkey. As much as she likes to climb around, we've been calling her Monkey!

And last but not least....
Callie' The little California Girl that likes to sunbathe! Her colors are beautiful and her personality is just as complex.

You know you would love to add a kitten to your family!!
