Wrong Turns

If only life were that simple. A sign telling us which way to go.

More often than not some of us head down the wrong road, sometimes turning around, sometimes taking a different side road.

Sometimes, we continue down the wrong road until it breaks us, or a new intersection appears.

When we lean on God, we can know that He is going to show us the right road to take.

It's when we think we know what's best for ourselves that we make the most mistakes. Often, we don't think and that leads us into more trouble than it's worth.

Why do so many people get addicted to drugs? Because in the beginning they 'think' they can control it. They don't know how powerful the drugs are and before they realize it, it's often already too late and they are hooked.

Sometimes we make choices thinking it's 'what's best for everyone', when in fact - it wasn't the best choice. And we feel like it's too late to turn around, go back or turn onto another path.

Sometimes the dirt road for a little while is a far better outcome than the freeway.

More often than not, the right choice is usually the harder road to travel. Many take the 'easy' way, thinking it will get them to the goal faster. When in fact it takes them further away from where they want to be.

Sometimes we do things because 'society' tells us it's the 'right thing to do', when in fact, it wasn't the right thing for us or our situation at all. We let peer pressure and people, push us into making decisions that we really didn't want to make.

'Trust your gut'.... Something tells me that the 'gut' instinct is really God, telling us which way to go. Question is, do we trust our 'gut', do we believe it's God?

Perhaps there really is a sign, showing us which way to turn. We just don't see it or believe it.

God left us the Bible, which has now been rewritten so many times, it's really hard to know which version is really the true version of 'God's Word'.

Perhaps that is why He sent us the 'Holy Ghost', to give us a true Spirit, that will lead us and guide us in the right direction. He knew back then, that the 'Word' would become confused. So He left us with a True Spirit, to guide us to the truth.

Relying on Prayer, is the best way to make daily decisions. A good conversation with God in the morning, will give you clarity to face the day.

Another prayer at the end of the day, for all the blessings you received in between. Gives you the gratitude and ability to sleep peacefully, knowing that God is watching over you.

If you're standing at a crossroad, or feel like you're headed down the wrong path, it's never to late to reach out to God and ask for His guiding hand to lead you to where He wants you to be.

He doesn't leave you on the wrong road, in fact He travels with you, every step of the way. Jesus died for everyone, not just the one's sitting in church on Sundays, or Saturdays. But for everyone.

In fact, He even went down to hell, to give those already there a chance to be redeemed.

God loves us all. Without reservation, without doubt. It's never too late to turn to Him to pull you out of your situation and back on 'track', to a healthy happy life.

Malachi 3:7 ~ Even from the days of your fathers, ye have gone away from my ordinances and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you; sayeth the Lord of Hosts. ....

Demons

It's been a few days. With so many thoughts going through my head, I've been trying to sort out a few things and prepare to carefully write this post.

As much as people want to believe in God and/or not believe in God, many fail to acknowledge that the devil and his demons are just as real.

People like to say, "God is love" and so many turn against God because something caused them pain in their life, then believing that "God failed them". When the truth of the matter might be that they were never serving God and worthy of God's good grace and protection.

While God is a God of love, grace, patience and caring.... He is also a God that expects people to love Him in return, serve Him, and listen to Him. You can't live like the devil and expect God to bless your life.

Meanwhile, the devil on the other hand, will bless your life here most abundantly if you're serving him, which is so easy to do, simply by not serving God. Something about the devil though, is that he doesn't keep his promises, he will lie to you and lead you down roads that are dark and more painful than you could ever imagine. All while he is making your neighbor the richest person on the block, having all the 'luck' and everything 'seems to be going right' for them...

Someone once told me, that while they were searching for the entity that would fulfill their life, they found that when trouble hit, those entities were not there for them. It was only Jesus that came through and helped them in their troubles. But it took them 'turning to Jesus' in their life, that allowed it to all happen.

Do I believe people can be possessed by demons? Ah, yes... it's actually obvious in today's world. Just by the horrible things humans are doing to each other and the all the creatures living on this planet. You can't have a good soul if you're out there killing children and cutting up the bodies of your victims. A human isn't born with such evil thoughts. Shooting, killing and abusing animals, doesn't happen to a good soul. Demonic thoughts prevail in some folks.

We can have demons in our heads/hearts, telling us to do such evil things. Souls can be overtaken by evil today, just as in many years past. Witches, sorcerers and other powers of the dark roam this earth more today than ever before. The Bible warns us in the last days the gates of hell will open, and they will all freely walk amongst us on this earth.

Partly because so many lack to believe that God is real. So many have turned away from God, leaving themselves open for the demons to come in.  So many 'churches' have strayed away from the Holy Truth, to make it convenient for folks to live the way they want to and still 'feel like they are going to heaven' - when the sad truth is, they are headed for hell.

We stopped having funerals and turned to 'celebrations of life' because people don't like to think about the afterlife and the consequences of hell being a reality, when they know their loved one, didn't believe in God or live for God. The last thing you want to think of when someone dies is that they are probably going to end up in hell not heaven. We all like to believe that our loved ones are in a better place, happy and at peace. Especially family.

People like to pick and choose what parts of the Bible they want to remember or quote. "God is love" "Jesus forgives everyone"..... When it says wide is the road to hell and narrow the path to heaven, folks like to assume they are on the narrow path, because they 'led a good life', they didn't 'hurt anyone' or 'do anything wrong' in their life. They were 'kind, generous, a giving soul'. But is that enough?

Not my place to judge anyone, I have my own soul to preserve and make right. As do each of us. But I will say, you can't believe in one without believing in the other. Instead of blaming God for the wrong in your lives, you might want to think about the devil and what he's allowed to do. You could be pointing your anger in the wrong direction.

I personally have been fighting with demons in my life for over 3 decades. When a soul is possessed and unable to see it for themselves, the devil will use them to make your life a living hell. And the closer I strive to get to God, the harder my demons fight me. So, don't expect it to be a smooth ride. Just know that if you're trying to reach God, He will reach out His hand and guide you through the trials and tribulations. You have to have faith!
